RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Contest Period

The Shop smarter, eat better contest is organized by Équiterre (hereinafter referred to as "the Organizer"). It takes place in Canada, on the Instagram account of "Bien manger, bon marché" from November 28, 2024, at 12:00 PM until December 18, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

2. How to Enter

To participate, you must meet the eligibility criteria listed below throughout the entire contest period and engage with the Instagram post dedicated to the contest prior to December 18, 2024, at 11:59 PM.

The winner of the Shop smarter, eat better contest will be drawn at random from all received entries. The draw will take place on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Organizer's office.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must meet the following contest entry conditions:

• Follow “Bien manger, bon marché” on Instagram

• Like the contest post,

• Comment on the contest post between November 28 and December 18, 2024.

The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible participants who have completed these conditions.

Eligible Participants

• Multiple entries are allowed per person, meaning participants can leave multiple comments on the Instagram post dedicated to the contest.

• The contest is open to anyone residing in Canada who is 18 or older at the time of participation.

• Employees and representatives of the contest Organizer, its advertising and promotional agencies, and anyone directly involved in the execution of the contest, as well as their immediate family members, are excluded from participation. "Immediate family" includes parents, children, siblings, and anyone living in the same household as these employees or representatives.

4. Designation and Announcement of the Winner

Four grocery gift cards worth $250 each, for a total value of $1000, will be awarded to one participant who has completed the contest entry form between November 28 and December 18, 2024.

The winner will be drawn on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Organizer's office. The winner will be contacted via private message on Instagram by the verified Shop Smarter, Eat Better account.

The winner must respond within 21 days of the initial contact by following the provided instructions to communicate with the Organizer. If the winner does not respond within this time frame, the Organizer reserves the right to draw and contact another winner from the entries, and so on, until a winner responds within the specified time.

Once the winner accepts their prize, their name will be announced in external communications from Équiterre and “Bien manger, bon marché”.

5. Prize Description

The contest offers one prize: four (4) $250 grocery gift cards from Métro Inc., totaling $1000.

6. Claiming the Prize

Before receiving their prize, the winner must:

• Respond to the Organizer within 21 business days after the contest concludes, following the instructions in the message sent by the official "Bien manger, bon marché" Instagram account.

• Confirm acceptance of the prize in writing in response to the Organizer's message.

• Provide their postal address so the Organizer can mail the gift card.

The prize will be delivered within 14 business days following the confirmation of the winner’s address, taking into account the annual holiday closure (non-business days).

7. General Conditions

• Liability: Équiterre makes no guarantee regarding the prize. No substitution is allowed. The prize is non-refundable and must be accepted as is. The winner releases Équiterre from any liability for damages incurred from accepting the prize and waives any legal action against Équiterre. If, in Équiterre's sole discretion, the contest cannot be conducted as planned, or if the contest’s administration, integrity, or functionality is compromised due to, for example, a system failure, Équiterre reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest. Participation in the "Spend Smarter, Eat Better" contest constitutes the acceptance of these rules.

• Refusal to Accept the Prize: If the winner refuses to accept the prize according to the terms outlined in these rules, the Organizer is released from any further obligation.

• Authorization: By participating in this contest, the winner authorizes the Organizer and its representatives to use their name, comment, post, photograph, video, prize-related statement, and/or establishment location, if required, without compensation, at the Organizer's discretion, for promotional purposes or any other deemed relevant, in any media, across Canada, and for an unlimited period of time.

• Communication with Participants: No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with participants except with the winner of the contest. 

• Participant Identification: For the purpose of these rules, the "winner" is the person whose name appears on their contest entry.
