Student Food Consultation – Prize Draw

From October 13 to 30, 2026, your participation in the Student Food Consultation will give you a chance to win one of five $100 gift cards.

This consultation is organized by Équiterre, the Quebec Student Union, and the Quebec College Student Federation.

RULES AND REGULATIONS


1. Contest Period

The draw is organized by Équiterre (hereinafter referred to as “the Organizer”) as part of the Student Food Consultation, which runs from October 13 to 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

2. How to Enter

To enter the draw, participants must complete and submit the online Student Consultation form before October 30, 2026 included.

By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that you have read these official contest rules and agree to comply with them.

Winners will be randomly selected from all valid entries received during the consultation period. The draw will take place on Monday, November 2nd, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Organizer’s office.

3. Eligibility

To be eligible, participants must:

  • Confirm their student status for the 2026 fall semester (proof of enrollment may be required to claim a prize) and reside in Quebec;
  • Have submitted only one response to the consultation between October 13 to 30, 2026;
  • Have completed and submitted the draw entry form during the contest period, including accurate contact information;

Winners will be randomly drawn from all participants who have met these eligibility requirements.

Employees, representatives, or agents of the Organizer, its advertising or promotional agencies, and any other parties directly involved in the organization of this contest, as well as members of their immediate families, are not eligible to participate. “Immediate family” includes parents, children, siblings, and anyone living in the same household.

4. Designation and Announcement of the Winner

The five winners will be randomly selected on Monday, November 2nd, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Organizer’s office and will be contacted by email.

Once each of the five winners has confirmed acceptance of their prize, their names will be announced through Équiterre’s and Eat Well, Spend Smart’s external communications.

5. Prize Details

Five $100 grocery gift cards, for a total value of $500, will be awarded to five randomly selected participants who have met all the eligibility conditions (see section 3).

Winners may choose one of the following five prizes:

  • Two $100 cafeteria gift cards(of the winner’s choice);
  • Three $100 grocery store gift cards (store of the winner’s choice).

6. Claiming the Prize

Before claiming their prize, each winner must:

  • Respond to the Organizer within 72 hours of being notified by following the instructions provided in the Organizer’s email. After this period, the Organizer reserves the right to randomly select another winner and repeat the process until a winner responds within the allotted time;
  • Confirm acceptance of the prize in writing by replying to the Organizer’s email;
  • Depending on the selected prize, winners may need to provide their mailing address so that the Organizer can send the gift card. For cafeteria gift cards, prizes may be distributed directly by the food service staff according to arrangements made with the winner.

Prizes will be delivered within 30 business days following approval by the Organizer and receipt of the winner’s contact details, taking into account the annual holiday closure (non-business days) or potential Canada Post service disruptions.

7. General Conditions

  • Liability: Équiterre offers no warranty on the awarded prizes. No substitutions are permitted. The prize is non-refundable and must be accepted as awarded. Winners release Équiterre from any liability for damages arising from the use or acceptance of their prize and waive any claim or legal action against Équiterre. If, in Équiterre’s sole discretion, the draw cannot be conducted as planned or if its administration, integrity, or proper functioning is compromised (for example, due to a computer system failure), Équiterre reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the draw. Participation constitutes full acceptance of these contest rules.
  • Refusal to Accept the Prize: If the winner refuses to accept the prize according to the terms outlined in these rules, the Organizer is released from any further obligation.
  • Authorization: By entering, each winner authorizes the Organizer and its representatives to use, if required, their name, comment, publication, photograph, video, statement about the prize, and/or place of study, without compensation, at the Organizer’s discretion, for an unlimited period and in any media across Canada for promotional or other purposes deemed relevant.
  • Communication with Participants: No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with participants except with the winners of the draw. 
  • Participant Identification: For the purposes of these rules, the winners are the individuals whose names appear on the consultation form. Proof of identity may be required.
